2. How to stimulate diversity in the daily news?
• The Diversity Toolkit for journalists
• The Boundless experience (exchange of journalists between north and south)
3. Looking for diversity
• VRT, The Youngster Lab
• La Trois (RTBF), Centre Video de Bruxelles, Passeurs d’Images (in the presence of the young reporters)
4. Minority TV channels: integration or exclusion?
• Almaghreb TV, TV Matonge, etc. Invitation to several minority TV channels and university experts to debate on this issue
11:35 – 12:45: 4 workshops of 45 minutes each (with the group divided into four)
1. Roma people on European screens
• 10-part documentary series The Roma People in Europe shot in 10 European countries.
2. Inner city youth and diversity in the media
• Media workshop ‘Telling what you see’ with young reporters from the ‘L’Atelier medias d’une certain gaieté’ and ‘RTC’
• FUN X radio station, Netherlands
3. The UK example
• The Cultural Diversity Network, BBC and Channel 4
4. Cultural diversity in children’s programmes
• Comparison of two flagship programmes: Klokhuis (NL) and Bulibumpa (Sweden)

14:15–15:45: Showcase of diversity in the world media by IMCA, with the participation of a few producers/actors
15:45 – 16:00: Summary of the day in pictures
16:00–16:15: Closing speech by Fadila Laanan, the Minister of Culture & Broadcasting for the Frenchspeaking Community of Belgium, and presentation of the report from the Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel.
