- Company Pictures, the producers of seminal youth drama 'Skins', a series which has continued to push boundaries and launch careers. Currently airing on E4, Skins has forged a sturdy reputation for discovering new talent — from actors such as Slumdog Millionaire's Dev Patel and new writers to bands, whose inclusion in an episode guarantees cool points. They are also responsible for such quality TV as Shameless, Wild At Heart and Inspector George Gently.
From developing scripts in workshops to music and club tours, Skins has redefined how we engage with youth audiences - and it will be fascinating to hear how their learnings and experience can relate to the broader cultural sector.
- Mudlark, a cross-platform production company in a partnership between a games company, a TV company and a web company. Mudlark produce mobile phone games, ARGS, virtual world experiences, television programmes, digital arts adventures and social network narratives. They’re currently developing locative multiplayer games for the iPhone and working with the Royal Shakespeare Company on an exciting new platform to explore Shakespeare’s place in a culture of cross-platform media consumption.
