Tyrkiet: Konferencen 'Interculturalism Reloaded'
'Interculturalism Reloaded: Exploring a Changing Landscape' er den 11. årskongres for Young SIETAR - Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research on Intercultural Communication and Relations
The aim of the conference is to challenge, examine and discuss how the field of interculturalism is developing and changing for the new generations. The event will also facilitate a meeting between interculturalists in the West and Turkey.
Young SIETAR's Annual Congresses aim to foster participants' professional growth, personal development, and understanding and appreciation of local culture and intercultural issues, as Young SIETAR acts as a bridge between newcomers and established professionals in the intercultural field.
To help us accomplish these goals, our program development team is working hard to get the schedule just right – allowing us to maximize our four days with sessions, workshops, evening programs, and exciting exploring opportunities.
We will use collaborative knowledge creation methods such as World Café, Open Space Technology, as well as artistic expression, using music and art to explore intercultural issues, and the more traditional workshop setting to raise core questions and find a common vision for the future. Participants will have the chance to ask questions they never dared to ask and the time to finally discuss key issues in depth.
After ten highly successful congresses in
• Amsterdam/The Netherlands (1997)
• Brussels/Belgium (1999)
• Wroclaw/Poland (2000)
• Timisoara/Romania (2002)
• Bratislava-Liptov/Slovakia (2003)
• Berlin-Usedom/Germany (2004)
• Zadar/Croatia (2005)
• Benageber-Valencia/Spain (2006)
• Ravensbrück/Germany (2007)
• Cairo/Egypt (2009),
Young SIETAR will embark on a new journey: we will be visiting the only metropolis in the world that is situated on two continents: Istanbul!
