Active training methods like role-plays, simulations, discussions and group work, requiring a high level of self-involvement will be employed. Training participants will get the opportunity to:

learn the basics of intercultural communication, or respectively raise their awareness of intercultural differences with accent on the German culture,

develop behavioral patterns and learn how to communicate within international groups, improve their communication skills,

work with an international group of people from all over Europe, and discover Berlin.

The application deadline for both courses is 9 April 2010, the course fee (incl. VAT and all course materials) is 750 €.

It is possible to receive a grant from the EU GRUNDTVIG programme which covers the course fee and the majority of the costs for accommodation and travelling. Targeted audiences are:

teachers (pre-school, primary, secondary, vocational, adult, special needs),

careers officers, educational guides and counselors,

other (paid or voluntary) management staff in an educational institution/organization,

non-teaching administrative staff, and

members of students/teachers councils in adult education.
